The Deputy Governor of Imo state, Prof. Placid Njoku has denied reports he has resigned.
Njoku, in a statement through his chief Press Secretary, Ozioma Ukwuoma, insisted the News have no iota of reality.
“even as it remains our Duty to ignore such baseless stories, the need to position the truth out to worried Imo residents has necessitated this rebuttal.
“This story has no iota of fact in it but is a trifling figment of the imaginations of these working against the authorities and people of Imo state,” the statement read in part.
Njoku insisted he enjoys “a strong working relationship” with the Governor, Senator hope Uzodimma, members of the state government Council and the state legislature.
He further enjoined Imo people to push aside such unfounded rumours and keep supporting the peace and improvement of the country.
